CouncilAURA is managed by volunteers who make up its Council. They set AURA’s strategic direction and policy. Volunteers come from any of AURA’s member organisations. People volunteering for Council can be appointed at any time of the year, and they then stand for election at our next Annual General Meeting, held in November. The Council is lead by a Chair, who is supported by one Vice Chair (usually a previous Chairperson), and one Deputy Chair who usually will become Chair in the future. Most Council members look after an area, e.g. marketing, newsletter etc. Bigger areas have 2 or more people sharing the responsibility. However any level of involvement is appreciated – some Council members currently purely contribute input, comments and ideas by email. Chairs of Special Interest GroupsGIMRA: Kerry Costello
