From the Manosphere to Meaning: Understanding the Needs Behind Young Men's Online Journeys, presented by Greater London Authority and 2CV

Wednesday 21st October, 9am-9.45am, online

This research examined the underlying motivations that lead young men towards manosphere communities, moving beyond assumptions of radicalisation to understand the role these spaces play in their lives.

The study explored the emotional and developmental needs being met - including self-improvement, identity formation, belonging and aspiration - and identified opportunities for public policy to provide credible alternatives.

The output was a strategic framework showing not only why young men engage, but what can be done differently to prevent harmful pathways before they emerge.

Presented by Dr Matthew Holt, Research Director, 2CV and Lucia Durante, Senior Research Officer, Greater London Authority
